Motherhood vs. Menopause

March 19, 2008

Why am I so tired?

A. The baby woke up 3 times last night.
B. My new HRT protocol isn’t working.
C. Both A and B.

For me, motherhood and menopause are one and the same.
That is to say in a nutshell, that I now live permanently in the state of Tired.

Technically, menopause came first – at age 31 with the diagnosis of Premature Ovarian Failure (POF). Next came the blessing of mommy-hood through the whirlwind rollercoaster of two domestic infant adoptions.

The toddler just woke the baby up and now the dog is barking.

    Wow.
    Sounds like a busy household.

*2* Domestic infant adoptions! How far apart in age are your kids?

I can’t wait to hear more of your story.

You poor thing, starting menopause that early must suck. Have you tried any herbal products?
